For the person behind the role

You don’t need to have it all worked out.

You might be stepping into a bigger role, managing a difficult situation or wondering what comes next. Perhaps you’re doing well, but want to be more deliberate about how you lead.

Plutus coaching is for leaders, managers and business owners who want time to think, constructive challenge and support to turn their thinking into action. You can come independently or through your employer.

What we can work on

Start with what’s
on your mind.

There’s no fixed programme to fit yourself into. Your priorities shape the conversation.

You might arrive with a clear goal. You might simply know something needs to change. Either is a useful starting point.

  • Stepping into leadershipFinding your approach as your responsibilities grow.
  • Confidence and decision-makingWorking through uncertainty and trusting your judgement.
  • Conversations and relationshipsPreparing for difficult discussions and understanding your impact.
  • Priorities and boundariesMaking conscious choices about your time, energy and attention.
  • Change and next stepsExploring a transition, a new direction or what success means to you.
How it works

A clear purpose. Room to explore.

01

Start with a conversation

We’ll discuss what brings you to coaching, what you’d like to achieve and whether the approach feels right for you. Session arrangements and fees are agreed before you commit.

02

Agree how we’ll work

Together, we’ll clarify your goals, expectations and confidentiality arrangements. We’ll agree the frequency and length of your virtual sessions around the work you want to do.

03

Reflect, act and review

Sessions give you space to explore your thinking, consider different perspectives and choose your next steps. Between sessions, you can put those ideas into practice and bring back what you learn.

Simon Dyer

Qualified executive coach
Founder of Plutus

I bring more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, operational leadership and people development. I’ve led teams and worked through significant business and regulatory change, so I understand the demands that sit behind a leadership role.

My approach is straightforward and collaborative. I’ll listen carefully, ask questions and offer constructive challenge. You set the agenda and remain responsible for your decisions; my role is to help you explore them more clearly.

Where mentoring would be useful, we can agree when to draw on relevant experience alongside the coaching conversation.

Before we begin

A few questions you may have.

Do I need to be a senior executive?

No. Coaching can support established leaders, people moving into management and business owners. What matters is having something you want to explore and being willing to take an active part in your development.

Is this only for people working in cryptocurrency?

No. Executive coaching focuses on you, your role and your development. You don’t need any connection with cryptocurrency or digital assets to work with Plutus as a coaching client.

What if my employer is paying?

We’ll agree the purpose of the coaching and any reporting arrangements at the outset. We’ll make clear what, if anything, is shared with your employer, so you understand the boundaries before sessions begin.

Are the conversations confidential?

Confidentiality and its limits are set out in our coaching agreement. We’ll discuss these before starting, including any employer reporting arrangements and circumstances where disclosure may be necessary.

How many sessions will I need, and what does it cost?

That depends on your goals and the support you’re looking for. We’ll discuss session length, frequency and fees before you commit, and review progress together as the coaching develops.

Already preparing for coaching?

If your coach has asked you to complete the learning preferences questionnaire, you can access it here. It’s a starting point for reflection, not a test or a fixed label.

What would you like
to work through?

You don’t need a perfectly formed brief. Send a short outline of what’s on your mind, whether you’re enquiring for yourself or on behalf of someone in your organisation.
